UA Fall Career Fairs 2026 for Students

TUCSON, AZ — The University of Arizona has three career fairs left on its fall calendar, and the first one is less than a week away. The two-day STEM Fair opens October 6 at Casino Del Sol Stadium, the Internship & Research Fair follows on October 22 at the Bear Down Building, and the Health Professions Career Fair closes out the season on November 4 at the Health Sciences Innovation Building on Drachman Street.

Three University of Arizona career fairs between October 6 and November 4, all aimed at UA students, all with registration through Handshake. Here's what each one covers, where to go and how to get the most out of it.

⚠️ Read This Before You Go

These fairs are run by the university's Center for Career Readiness for UA students, and registration goes through the university's Handshake account. If you are not a UA student, they are not your fairs. The good news is that two big public events land in the same month: the Pima County Community Job Fair on October 6 at the Kino Event Center, and the DREAM Job Fair for job seekers with disabilities on October 27. STEM Fair — Tuesday and Wednesday, October 6–7

Oct. 6: starts 11:00 a.m., Casino Del Sol Stadium, 565 N. Cherry Ave. | Oct. 7: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Bear Down Gym

This is the big one, and for 2026 it grew to two days. Day one, at the football stadium, is built around engineering, defense, advanced manufacturing, automation, semiconductors, optics, infrastructure, computer science, data, applied technology, and earth and space sciences. Day two moves to Bear Down Gym and turns to the life and molecular sciences, including neuroscience and cognitive and behavioral science. Tucson's technical employers lean on this pipeline; the region's defense, optics and mining-tech companies hire plenty of engineers straight out of the UA. Two schedule notes. The university's fairs page lists day one ending at 3:00 p.m., while the event page lists 2:00 p.m. for both days, so plan to be there well before 2:00. And the event page shows only the stadium address for both days, so confirm the day-two venue on the Center for Career Readiness career fairs page before you head over on the 7th.

Internship & Research Fair — Thursday, October 22

Noon – 3:00 p.m. | Bear Down Building, University of Arizona

The university describes this one as a fair connecting organizations with Wildcats for internship and research opportunities, both in Arizona and outside it. It's open to every major, and it's the one freshmen and sophomores should not skip. Employers commonly fill summer internships months ahead, so late October is when a lot of those spots get decided, not April. A research position on campus counts too: paid lab and research assistant work builds the same resume line a corporate internship does, and it often comes with a faculty reference attached.

Health Professions Career Fair — Wednesday, November 4

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Health Sciences Innovation Building, 1670 E. Drachman St.

The shortest fair of the season, at two hours, and the most focused. It's aimed at students in the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Sciences, Nutritional Sciences and Wellness, and Veterinary Medicine. The building sits on the health sciences side of campus, a short walk from Banner – University Medical Center Tucson, which is a fitting spot: education and health services is one of the few Tucson sectors that has been adding jobs over the past year, according to the UA's own Economic and Business Research Center.

Engineering, computer science, data, optics or earth and space science majors: October 6. Go early.
Biology, molecular science, neuroscience or cognitive science majors: October 7.
Anyone chasing a summer 2027 internship or a research job: October 22, whatever your major.
Nursing, pharmacy, public health, pre-med and pre-vet students: November 4.
Not a UA student: October 6 at the Kino Event Center instead, with up to 50 employers and no student ID required.

Register in Handshake first, then look at which employers have signed up and pick your top five
Printed resumes, one page, more copies than you think you need
Your CatCard
A 30-second introduction: your name, major, graduation date and the kind of role you want
One specific question for each target employer, so the conversation goes past "what do you do?"
Business casual clothes and comfortable shoes
A way to follow up: get a name, then send a short note within 48 hours
