🏆 Who's Behind the DREAM Job Fair

The fair is run by a coalition of local agencies that work on disability employment year-round, including Goodwill of Southern Arizona, the Beacon Group, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, SAAVI and UCP Workability. It happens twice a year, spring and fall, and Pima County's ARIZONA@WORK One-Stop calls it Southern Arizona's largest disability job fair.

It has a long track record. KGUN 9 reported in 2023 that more than 4,000 job seekers had come through since the fair started, and that fall's edition drew about 550 people and 30 employers. In fall 2024, Goodwill counted 477 job seekers and 34 employers. This past March, Pima County Public Library reported more than 35 organizations in the same building on Ajo Way.

The point of the room is simple. As Jody Gardner of Banner Health Plans told KGUN 9 in 2023, the fair exists to get people with disabilities "in front of employers who want an inclusive workforce."

💼 Who's Hiring at the DREAM Job Fair on October 27

The employer list for the fall fair hasn't been published yet, so we can't tell you who will be there. Past fairs give a good idea of the mix. The March 2026 fair included Walmart, Eegee's, Habitat for Humanity, TUSD, Pima County and Pima Community College. In 2023, Tucson Medical Center, JW Marriott Starr Pass and Tucson Electric Power took tables.

That spread runs from store floors and kitchens to classrooms and county offices. Don't count on any one employer until the roster is out.

The start time. Two official sources disagree. The DREAM Job Fair site lists 9 a.m. to noon. Pima County's One-Stop events calendar lists 10 a.m. to noon. Both agree it ends at noon. Plan to arrive at 9 and you're covered either way, and confirm the time when you register.

The prep workshop. Before the spring fair, organizers held a free workshop covering resumes, mock interviews, elevator speeches, self-advocacy and ADA accommodations, with free work clothes on hand. As of October 1, the DREAM site has not posted a fall workshop date. If you want that kind of prep, call and ask.

Accommodations. If you need an interpreter or another accommodation to take part, call 520-306-0648 or email imarketing@goodwilltucson.org well before October 27.

✅ How to Make the Most of the DREAM Job Fair

  • Register first. Free RSVP at dreamjobfair.org.
  • Bring printed resumes and a photo ID. Employers at past fairs have been ready to take resumes on the spot.
  • Bring your support person if you want one. Parents, family, caretakers and guardians are welcome.
  • Know your rights on disclosure. Under the ADA, employers generally can't ask about a disability before making a job offer. Whether you bring yours up, and when, is your call.
  • Write down names. Follow up with each employer you talked to within 48 hours, and apply online the same week.

What It Means for Tucson Job Seekers

This is the best-aimed hiring room in Tucson all fall for anyone with a disability:

  • First-time job seekers: it's open to all ages, so young adults leaving school can come with a parent or guardian.
  • People returning to work: after an injury, an illness or time in rehabilitation, it's a lower-pressure place to restart.
  • Experienced workers: past rosters have included hospitals, utilities and the county, not only entry-level employers.

Based on past rosters, these are the kinds of roles worth preparing for. They're anticipated, not posted for this event:

On pay: the minimum wage depends on where the job is, not where the fair is. Jobs inside Tucson city limits pay at least $15.45 an hour in 2026; jobs in Marana, Oro Valley or unincorporated Pima County follow Arizona's $15.15. Our breakdown of Arizona's 2026 minimum wage explains the difference.
