Brighter View Foundation Hiring Event — Monday, October 5
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | DES East Tucson Office (ARIZONA@WORK), 1455 N. Alvernon Way
Brighter View Foundation is an Arizona nonprofit that works with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, and with others facing barriers to work, through life skills, vocational rehabilitation and workforce programs. This event fills two kinds of jobs. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Direct Care Workers (DCWs) help clients with daily routines, skill-building and getting out into the community. Job Coaches help people with disabilities land a job and keep it, often working right alongside them on site. The openings are posted on the state's Arizona Job Connection as job order 7596914 (DSP/DCW) and job order 7596912 (Job Coach).
The organizers ask you to register in advance. Pay isn't listed on the flyer. Brighter View's flyer for a follow-up event spells out what it expects from candidates: a high school diploma or GED, a current resume, three references reachable by phone, a clean background check, a valid Arizona driver license and a registered, insured vehicle. You'll also need a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card before your first shift. If you don't have one yet, ask about it at the event, since it can take a while to come through. First Aid/CPR, DCW, Article 9 and Prevention & Support certifications are preferred, not required. Questions go to Tiffany Jones, ARIZONA@WORK business service representative, at 520-909-9971.
Can't make Monday? Brighter View is back on Tuesday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Goodwill Career Center, 3725 E. Fort Lowell Rd., and adds a Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Specialist opening to the list. Contact for that one is Jonathan Pearce at 520-547-1096.
UniSea Recruiting Event — Wednesday, October 7
9:00 a.m. – noon | Pima County One-Stop Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way
Read this one carefully, because the jobs are not in Tucson. UniSea runs one of Alaska's big seafood processing plants in Dutch Harbor, out in the Aleutian Islands, and keeps its headquarters, cold storage and a custom processing plant in Redmond, Washington. It's a subsidiary of Japan's Nissui Corporation. Tucson is one stop on a southern Arizona recruiting swing that also hits Douglas and Sierra Vista later that week.
The flyer lists Seafood Processor, Fillet Maintenance Supervisor and Seasonal Front Desk Clerk in Dutch Harbor, plus Food Production QA Technician and Facilities Maintenance Technician in Redmond, "and more." UniSea's current processor posting lays out the deal:
- Pay: $17.00 an hour to start, $25.50 overtime.
- Contract: six months or 1,800 hours, or until end-of-season layoffs, whichever comes first.
- The work: up to 12 hours a day, six days a week, standing on a production line in a cold, wet plant, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Room and board: company housing, all-you-can-eat cafeteria meals and laundry for $15 a day, charged only on days you work more than eight hours.
- Benefits: medical, dental and vision after an eligibility period, plus a 401(k) with a 5% match and an extra 3% company contribution.
- Travel: you get yourself to Seattle or Anchorage. UniSea flies you from there to Dutch Harbor, and back after you finish the contract.
The flyer's requirements: at least 18, able to speak and understand basic English for safety, valid U.S. work authorization, and a pre-employment drug screen, background check and medical screening. The drug screen includes marijuana, and Arizona's recreational law doesn't change that. The posting doesn't say when the next season starts, so ask before you commit. And if you want a preview, UniSea's own recruiting calendar also has it at the Pima County Community Job Fair on October 6, next door at the Kino Event Center.
AccentCare Recruiting Event — Monday, October 12
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Pima County One-Stop Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way
AccentCare's Tucson personal care branch sends caregivers into clients' homes for non-medical help, and this event is for caregivers, no experience necessary. The flyer's requirements are short: pass a national background check and Arizona's APS/CPS check, and have your own transportation.
A September job order AccentCare filed with the county, for experienced caregivers, shows what the work looks like: bathing and dressing, grooming, errands and meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, incontinence care, and helping clients move between a bed, chair, wheelchair and toilet. That order listed $17.00 an hour, full- and part-time schedules, benefits, and mileage and travel-time pay between clients in some circumstances, with cases across Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, South Tucson and the southwest side. It also required a DCW certificate (which can be earned in paid training), in-person CPR and First Aid, a current TB test, three references and a paid six-hour orientation. Ask at the event how much of that applies to new caregivers. Full listings are on AccentCare's careers site, and the local branch on East Broadway answers at 520-426-9030.
🔎 How to Pick the Right One
- You want to work with people with disabilities, or help them find jobs: October 5 with Brighter View, or its October 13 follow-up.
- You want caregiving work and have never done it: October 12 with AccentCare, which says no experience is needed.
- You can leave Tucson for six months and want to bank overtime: October 7 with UniSea. Budget for the trip to Seattle or Anchorage first.
- You need a desk job instead: skip ahead to Alorica on October 8, below.
What to Bring to Any of Them
- Printed resumes, more than you think you need
- A photo ID, and your driver license and proof of insurance for the caregiving jobs
- Names and phone numbers for three references
- Your Fingerprint Clearance Card, DCW, CPR or First Aid paperwork if you have them
- Your availability, stated plainly: days, nights, weekends
Mind the building. The October 7 and 12 events are at the Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way, which the county's flyers call the Kino Resource Center. That's next door to the larger Kino Event Center at 2805. The October 5 event is across town, at the DES office on Alvernon Way. Questions about the Ajo Way events go to the Pima County One-Stop at 520-724-7700.
What It Means for Tucson Job Seekers
Caregiving and disability support agencies hire all year, and the requirements in these flyers repeat for a reason: once you hold a fingerprint clearance card, a DCW certificate and CPR, you qualify for a lot of caregiving openings across town. The UniSea jobs are a different animal: hard seasonal work, far from home, with housing and meals provided for a daily fee. Here's where each role fits:
- Caregivers and Direct Care Workers: caregiver jobs in Tucson. Many caregivers move up to nursing assistant work: see the certified nursing assistant career guide.
- Direct Support Professionals: DSP jobs in Tucson. The behavioral health technician career guide covers a closely related path.
- Job Coaches: job coach jobs in Tucson
- Quality and maintenance techs: UniSea's Redmond roles line up with the quality inspector and industrial maintenance technician guides, both with Tucson openings.
- Front desk: the hotel front desk agent career guide covers the local version of UniSea's seasonal desk job.
More Tucson Hiring Events This Week
These three aren't the only chances. The Pima County Community Job Fair on October 6 brings up to 50 employers to the Kino Event Center. Bass Pro Shops interviews October 7 and 8 for holiday retail jobs, and Alorica's October 8 event fills $17-an-hour customer service seats at the same Goodwill Career Center where Brighter View returns on the 13th. Later in the month, the DREAM Job Fair on October 27 connects job seekers with disabilities to employers. Our Fall 2026 job fairs guide tracks the whole season.

Are the UniSea jobs in Tucson?

How much do these jobs pay?

Do I need experience to work for AccentCare?
The October 12 flyer says no experience is necessary for caregivers. You must pass a national background check and Arizona's APS/CPS check and have your own transportation. AccentCare's earlier job order says the required DCW certificate can be earned through paid training.
Do I need to register?
Brighter View asks candidates to register in advance through its online form. The UniSea and AccentCare flyers don't mention registration. For those two, call the Pima County One-Stop at 520-724-7700 with questions.
Is the Kino Service Center the same as the Kino Event Center?
No. The Kino Service Center, which county flyers also call the Kino Resource Center, is at 2797 E. Ajo Way. The Kino Event Center is next door at 2805 E. Ajo Way. The UniSea and AccentCare events are at 2797.
Two Mondays, a Wednesday in between, and most of the action on Ajo Way just east of the Kino sports complex. Pick your event, print the resume, and get there early.
