TUCSON, AZ — Tucson's newest outdoor superstore is heading into its first holiday season, and it needs more hands. Bass Pro Shops is holding on-site interviews at its Tucson Marketplace store on Wednesday and Thursday, October 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., part of a national hiring event running at every Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's location in the U.S. and Canada.

🎣 The Tucson Store's First Holiday Season

Bass Pro opened its Tucson Outdoor World on March 25. The 100,000-square-foot store anchors the Marketplace at the Bridges, just off I-10 between Park Avenue and Kino Parkway. It's the company's third Arizona location and its first in Tucson, complete with a 15,000-gallon aquarium built into an old-mine setting, a boat showroom and a POWER PROS service center for boats, motors, ATVs and UTVs.

Opening-day hiring was competitive. General manager Bruce Miller told KGUN 9 in March that the store had about 150 Outfitters on staff, and that close to 1,600 people showed up to interview for those jobs. The holiday push is a second shot for anyone who missed the first round, and a good reason to show up prepared.

🎅 Santa's Wonderland Comes to the South Side

This will be the store's first Christmas, which makes it the first Bass Pro Santa's Wonderland in Tucson. Through most of November and December, the store hosts free photos with Santa, with reservations opening in early November at basspro.com/santa.
