📅 Table of Contents

Premier In-Home Care Recruiting Event — Tuesday, November 3

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Pima County One-Stop Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way

The first chance of the month, and the best-paying flyer of the bunch: caregivers start at $17 an hour, and the flyer says onsite interviews are possible. Premier asks for a year of experience but says it isn't required, and training is provided. Shifts cover overnights, evenings, weekends and split shifts, and the agency says it will work around your schedule. The firm requirements are about the car: you must be 18 or older, pass a background screening, and have a valid driver license, auto insurance and a vehicle you can use to drive clients to appointments. Questions go to the Pima County One-Stop at 520-724-7700.

AccentCare Hire Event — Thursday, November 5

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Goodwill Flowing Wells Career Center, 3925 N. Flowing Wells Rd.

AccentCare is a national home care company with a Tucson personal care branch, and this event is for caregivers. The flyer is short on specifics: it promises competitive pay, flexible scheduling, training and room to grow, but doesn't print a wage or a list of requirements. For a sense of the job, a September job order AccentCare filed with Pima County for experienced caregivers listed $17 an hour, with work that included bathing and dressing, meals, errands, light housekeeping and medication reminders. Ask at the table what applies to new hires. This one is at Goodwill's Flowing Wells center on the northwest side, not on Ajo Way. The contact is Misty Villagomez at Goodwill, 520-206-0333.

Premier In-Home Care Hiring Event — Tuesday, November 10

11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | ARIZONA@WORK, 316 W. Fort Lowell Rd.

Premier comes back a week later at a different office, and this flyer reads differently. It says no experience needed and lists starting pay of $16.50 an hour for caregivers, with overnight, weekend and split shifts arranged around your availability. That's 50 cents less than the November 3 flyer, which leans toward experienced caregivers. If you have a year or more of caregiving behind you, the November 3 event may be the better fit; if you're brand new, this is the one written for you. Either way, ask which rate applies to you. The county lists a registration form for this event.

Arcadia Home Care & Staffing Recruiting Event — Monday, November 16

9:00 a.m. – noon | Pima County One-Stop Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way

Arcadia is recruiting caregivers, with onsite interviews possible. The flyer's requirements are the shortest on this list: be at least 18 and able to pass a criminal background check. It doesn't list pay or say whether experience is needed, and it points to the agency's website for the full list of open positions. Bring your questions about schedules and pay, and bring a resume either way. The One-Stop answers at 520-724-7700.

PimaCare at Home Hiring Event — Monday, November 16

9:00 a.m. – noon | ARIZONA@WORK, 316 W. Fort Lowell Rd.

The friendliest flyer for a first-timer: "No experience needed! We will train you!" PimaCare at Home is hiring Direct Care Workers at $16 an hour to start, with flexible hours and locations. The work is personal care, light housekeeping, help with meals, shopping, companionship and going along with clients on outings. The opening is posted as job order 7618652 on the state's Arizona Job Connection, and the county asks you to fill out a short registration form first.

Heads up: this event and Arcadia's run at the same hours on the same morning, at buildings on opposite sides of town. You can't do both properly. Pick the one that fits, and if you miss one, call to ask about applying directly.

🔎 How to Pick the Right Ones

  • Never done caregiving work: November 10 with Premier or November 16 with PimaCare at Home. Both flyers say no experience is needed.
  • A year or more of experience and a reliable car: November 3 with Premier, the highest posted starting rate on this list.
  • Northwest side, or you'd rather skip Ajo Way: November 5 with AccentCare at Goodwill on Flowing Wells Road.
  • Free on a Monday morning: November 16, Arcadia on Ajo Way or PimaCare on Fort Lowell. Not both.
  • Want the most offers: go to more than one. These agencies compete for the same caregivers, and comparing offers is how you learn what your experience is worth.

✅ What to Bring to Any of Them

  • Printed resumes, more than you think you need
  • Photo ID, your driver license and proof of auto insurance
  • Names and phone numbers for three references
  • Any Fingerprint Clearance Card, DCW certificate, CPR or First Aid card you already hold
  • Your availability, stated plainly: days, nights, weekends, overnights

Mind the buildings. The November 3 and November 16 Arcadia events are at the Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way, which some county flyers call the Kino Resource Center. That's next door to the bigger Kino Event Center at 2805, where the Pima County Career Fair runs on November 5. The November 10 and November 16 PimaCare events are at the ARIZONA@WORK office on West Fort Lowell Road on the north side of midtown.

💰 What Caregiving Pays, and Where the Floor Sits

The three flyers that print a number land between $16.00 and $17.00 an hour to start. Two things are worth knowing before you compare them. First, caregivers work in clients' homes, and the minimum wage that applies depends on where the work is done. Inside Tucson city limits the floor is $15.45 now and is set to reach $16.00 on January 1, 2027; in Marana, Oro Valley, South Tucson and unincorporated areas like Casas Adobes, the Arizona minimum applies, rising from $15.15 to $15.65. A $16.00 start is above both floors today, and exactly at the city floor come January. Our 2027 minimum wage article explains the city line.

Second, in home care the hourly rate is only part of the paycheck. Ask each agency how it handles mileage and drive time between clients, how many hours a week it can actually give you, and whether it pays for DCW training and CPR. A 50-cent difference matters less than 10 extra hours a week.

What It Means for Tucson Job Seekers

Home care is one of the few fields in Tucson where an agency will hire you with no experience and train you on the job, and demand doesn't slow down for the holidays. The paperwork you pick up along the way, a fingerprint clearance card, a DCW certificate, CPR, carries from one agency to the next, and it's the first step toward nursing assistant and patient care work. Here's where each role fits:
