Premier In-Home Care Recruiting Event Nov. 3: $17/Hour Caregiver Jobs at the Kino Service Center

TUCSON, AZ — A Tucson home care agency is bringing a second recruiting day to the calendar, a week ahead of the one we covered earlier this week, and the terms are different. Premier In-Home Care is holding a recruiting event for caregivers on Tuesday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pima County One-Stop Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way, with pay starting at $17 an hour.

The catch: this flyer asks for a valid driver's license, auto insurance and your own vehicle, because these caregivers drive clients to appointments. If you have a car and you're 18 or older, this is the better-paying of Premier's two November dates.

🚗 Same Agency, Different Event: Nov. 3 vs. Nov. 10

Premier is also hiring caregivers on Tuesday, November 10 on Fort Lowell Road, and the two flyers don't match. Different day, different building, different requirements. Read both before you pick one.

  • November 3, Kino Service Center: $17 an hour to start. Car, license and insurance required. One year of experience preferred. Overnight, evening, weekend and split shifts.
  • November 10, 316 W. Fort Lowell Road: $16.50 an hour to start. No experience needed. Overnight, weekend and split shifts. Online registration requested.

The flyers don't explain the gap. The simplest reading is that the November 3 openings involve driving clients, which the November 10 flyer doesn't mention. Ask the recruiter which openings you're interviewing for, and what each one pays.

🏆 Who Is Premier In-Home Care?

Premier In-Home Care is a locally owned Tucson agency, run since 2015 by co-owners Patricia Payne and Mark Schmidt out of an office on West Ina Road. Its caregivers work in clients' homes across the metro, from Marana, Oro Valley and Casas Adobes to Vail, Rita Ranch, Sahuarita and Green Valley.

The agency offers hourly, overnight, 24-hour and live-in care for older adults, including dementia and Parkinson's care, help after a hospital stay and hospice support. Its website says every caregiver goes through a background check, training and ongoing supervision. Round-the-clock care is why the flyer leads with nights, evenings and weekends.

💼 What the Job Involves

The flyer names one role, Caregiver, and one duty in particular: driving clients to appointments in your own vehicle. Beyond that, non-medical home care usually covers:

  • Personal care: help with bathing, dressing and moving around the house safely
  • Daily living: meals, light housekeeping, laundry and errands
  • Transportation: doctor visits, pharmacy runs and grocery trips
  • Companionship: conversation and steady routines, which matter most in memory care

Those are typical duties, not Premier's posted job description. Ask what a first week looks like and what training comes before your first solo shift.

💰 Pay, Mileage and the Wage Floor

The posted starting pay is $17 an hour. That clears both legal floors in 2026: $15.45 inside Tucson city limits and $15.15 everywhere else in Arizona. It also clears the January 1 rates, $16 in the city and $15.65 statewide, covered in our 2027 minimum wage breakdown. In home care the floor follows the client's address, so a midtown shift and an Oro Valley shift can carry different minimums.

What the flyer doesn't say: whether Premier reimburses mileage, pays for drive time between clients, or offers benefits. When the job runs on your car, those answers are part of the pay. Ask before you accept.

✅ How to Make the Most of It

  • Bring proof you can drive. Your driver's license and current auto insurance card, since both are on the requirements list.
  • Bring a photo ID and a few printed resumes. The flyer says interviews may happen onsite.
  • Know your shifts. If you can cover overnights or weekends, lead with it.
  • Bring any credentials you have. A fingerprint clearance card, CPR card or caregiver certificate can speed up hiring.
  • Find the right building. The Kino Service Center at 2797 E. Ajo Way sits next to the Kino Event Center at 2805. Questions? The flyer lists 520-724-7700.

What It Means for Tucson Job Seekers

Home care is one of the few healthcare jobs in Tucson that hires without a degree or license, and this event pays a little more for people who bring a car. It suits:

  • Experienced caregivers who want a higher starting rate
  • Drivers comfortable taking clients across town
  • Night and weekend workers, since those shifts are named
  • Future CNAs and nurses building patient care experience
