About the position
Sahuarita Speech Spot is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide in-person services at Continental Elementary School in Green Valley, Arizona. This is a part-time, school-based position beginning at approximately 12 hours per week.
The position is ideal for an SLPA seeking a consistent school schedule, collaborative supervision, and the possibility of gradually increasing hours. Additional school-based hours may be available at Mexicayotl Academy of Excellence and Little Red School/Santa Cruz Elementary District 28, depending on the candidate’s interest and availability.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct speech-language therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP
* Implement students’ IEP goals and established treatment plans
* Collect accurate data and maintain timely service documentation
* Collaborate with the supervising SLP and relevant school staff
* Support students in areas including speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and AAC
* Participate in supervision and consultation as required
Qualifications
* Current Arizona SLPA license or ability to obtain licensure before beginning employment
* Degree or training meeting Arizona SLPA requirements
* Experience working with children preferred
* School-based experience preferred but not required
* Dependable transportation and ability to work on-site in Green Valley
* Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
* Bilingual English/Spanish skills are welcomed but not required
Position details
* Approximately 12 hours per week initially
* In-person services at Continental Elementary School
* Additional hours at other contracted schools may be available
* Weekday daytime schedule
* Pay range: $30–$36 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
* Supportive supervision provided by a licensed SLP
